As a Leadership Studies Minor I have partaken in three core courses where I was able to learn about different leadership theories, found my personal leadership style, and applied these concepts in a community outreach project. Due to my campus and community involvement I have had the opportunity to learn and create technical writing pieces. Professional writing is the use of clear language to convey information in a way that is easily understood by the intended audience. I have done a multitude of research papers throughout my time at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Through these assignments I have been able to conduct primary research, evaluate secondary research, construct effective written arguments, and analyze and critique messages in all forms and on all topics.
